FACE THE WALL

Talks dedicated to street art and graffiti have cropped through the years and mostly to jampacked audiences. There was Nemo's talk and art demo at St. Scholastica in Feb 2011 and other interactions in schools, in galleries or in the streets. This week, San Beda's Social Sciences and Humanities departments held "Face the Wall" a lecture and forum on graffiti and street art, which featured PSP's Jood Clarino and members of Ang Gerilya, as speakers. Talks such as this, especially ones that are academe-initiated, shows the growing interest to understand the Philippine street art and graffiti movements.
